Apply for Co-op Housing & Helpful Links
The process of applying for co-op apartments can take anywhere from three months to one year depending on the number of vacancies in our co-ops. Once an apartment becomes available, applications are considered in date order based on the number of bedrooms needed by the applicant and the income restrictions for the particular apartment.
The first step in applying for a co-op is to attend a Co-op Housing Program Orientation. The orientations are held monthly at the Champlain Housing Trust. All applicants are required attend an orientation if they want to be considered for co-op housing membership. Please call the Co-op Housing Program Coordinator at (802) 862-6244 for more information.
The Champlain Housing Trust is a member of Vermont Cooperatives and supports the ideals of co-ops in their many forms. Below is list of resources for you to learn more about them.
