Monte Named One of VermontBiz’s “91 Influencers”

Last month, Vermont Business Magazine unveiled it’s “VermontBiz 91 Influencers,” a list of honorees recognized for their “unwavering dedication, innovation, and impact within their field and community, as well as their ability to inspire and lead those around them.” Champlain Housing Trust’s very own Michael Monte was among the 91 named.

The list – a nod to Vermont’s becoming a state in 1791 – spanned numerous sectors, from business to entertainment to technology to the nonprofit sector. In addition to announcing the list, Vermont Business Magazine published short profiles, including answers to a couple of questions they posed to the people being recognized. Below is how Michael responded to a couple of questions.

Favorite thing about Vermont: Its natural beauty and its commitment to community while supporting individual freedom.

Toughest challenge: The one that is in front of me, in front of many of us: how to increase our capacity for shelter, transitional housing and treatment for those who are homeless, while making Burlington and Vermont a safer place to live and work.

Congratulations, Michael and all of those who were chosen!
