Summertime Community Connections & Fun!

Building and creating community is a vital part of what makes housing feel like home and Champlain Housing Trust residents are staying busy this summer. Whether it’s a community picnic, a day at the beach, gardening, or a leadership training program, there are plenty of ways to get involved.

South Meadow residents are planning a cultural celebration.

Congratulations to the residents at Laurentide and South Meadow who completed a 10-week community and leadership program. Leaders at Laurentide are creating a Laurentide Cares Team that will welcome new residents and offer support on all things Laurentide. At South Meadow, several residents are throwing a Cultural Celebration at the end of August to bring the South Meadow community together and to give residents an opportunity to show off various aspects of their culture, including their favorite foods!

The DREAM Program operates at several Champlain Housing Trust communities. DREAM’s summer enrichment programs keep kids active during the summer with fun activities. Recently kids from Winchester Apartments in Colchester enjoyed a day out at North Beach in Burlington.
